    Is this supposed to be cribbing, just for the heck of it? In what way can getting a 2 yr EAD be bad news?

    For EB ROW, if they issue 1 yr EAD...does tht mean their 485s are not approved for at least 1 yr?

    Received 2 year EAD card in email. Card is valid from jul 30th 2008 to jul 29th 2010. My PD is current.(May 06). Dont know if this is good news or bad news.

    Filed paper renewal on june 12th, Received card production ordered email today.
    Ap was submitted 2 days ago. PD is May 06. Spouse's app was filed same time , no update yet. No FP notices.

    Received 2 year EAD card in email. Card is valid from jul 30th 2008 to jul 29th 2010. My PD is current.(May 06). Dont know if this is good news or bad news.

    LS is not illegal until the employers sell the labor. LS is legal channel where in employer fill the position with somebody else, if primary applicant it not available for some reason.

    But some employers are exploiting the law and selling it. This is ILLEGAL. I agree with that LS is LEGAL until it goes in a legal way. But selling or getting other benefits/gifts from the employee is completely ILLEGAL.

    Since USCIS cannot find who is selling and who is not selling, they banned it. It is a good move from USCIS, but it is too late. Too many got like this and enjoying the benefits leaving other poor souls who are waiting in line from years.

    If your COS application was approved and you didnt have to go out of US for H1B stamping I would assume your are in status.

    I dont know if this would come up in RFE or at interview stage, but I wont worry about it unless the period was more than 180 days.
    Thanks for the responses. How about this question ?
    Is it out of status if one gets paid from 2 companies with
    2 H1bs , like, If one is on bench but getting paid by that company, starts working with 2nd company on transferred H1b, so it is like double pay for about 2-3 weeks .

    My infopass appointment was this afternoon. NC cleared. All the IO said was I should wait as there were many applications filed on 7/2/2007.

    I mentioned once that 2006 cases are getting approved and with my PD being in 2004 when should I expect to get my 485 approved. All I heard back was WAIT :mad:.

    Not sure how long though. Been seven years since I filed, first in 2001 and then again in 2004. Looks like a never ending wait.

    Hoping for the best :)

    My I-140 approved from TSC and I-485 submitted to NSC on July 2nd 7:55am. I talked to 2 immigration officer today morning. They informed me my case would be transfered to TSC. I dont know if NSC would receipt my application:confused:

    Do you realize that this duplicate App is going to increase the turnaround from 90 to 120 days ?

    Please put some thought man - USCIS clearly said that FEDEX/USPS signed receipt is acceptable proof for EAD/AP filing in one of the FAQ's so if its get rejected out of USCIS error you can refile later.

    SuperUsers and Moderators - What is your take on this ??

    I think there are valid reasons for SOME of us to re-file but in general it should be avoided as much as possible. We are 20000 odd people here in TOTAL. That is about 7% The total number of applications received by USCIS (maybe 300000). So, while you are right there is no need to re-file just out of anxiety, I don't see how it will make any impact on the processing times.

    Nothing much is going to happen.she clearly has said 6039 is gone.So recapturing no doubt its also gone.

    They love illegals than us.Immigration reforms means illegals,amnesty and citizenships.

    I havnt received my AP applied Jun 29 2007.Nebraska.

    Whenever we call them they have a standard answer 30 days,then 60 days.

    Latest 30 days.

    Its the same for GC too.

    They are least bothered.CHC must have been everything.Is every immigrant genious,scientists,doctors,engineers like they have argued.They cannot build wall with only so called expected genious.

    Discrimination to the core.

    Not even next summer.

    may be they will do for amnesty.so they can again boycott us and be busy with those applications.Lawyers can also earn well.

    I checked with some of my colleagues and friends. They all have sent the letters, but most of them have not participated in this poll at the start. So I wouldnt get discouraged by smaller number of votes in it.

    Since we already applied for I-485, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Her employment letter (submitted) only says that she is employed with the company and her employment is valid till 2008.

    Isn't valid/unexpired I-94 counts as legal status not the approval notice. Also what if the employee takes a un-paid leave of absence due to health reasons etc.

    I am sure so many in the same boat. Is there anything we could do?

    She would still need to be on the Payroll and reported as an employee, preferable from the date of COS, If making a case of vacation or medical leave.

    I did post about this. We have seen professor's expert opinion letters showing the equivalency to the MA being approved. However, the evidence does point to an equivalency to a BA.

    Thanks for your reply, Sheila.

    Now, since the evidence does point to equivalent to a BA, can this affect already approved petitions that have been submitted with evidence equating it to MS in past.

    You also mentioned in one of the post that you have had 100% success rate equating CA to MS. Now, evidence is pointing to the contrary, I am not sure about the effect on these approved I-140 petitions.

    What I don't understand is it's not mandatory to inform the USCIS about moving to a different job via AC-21. If you are not required to inform them, then where does the question of AC-21 approval arise ?
