In several responses people have compared MBA and PMP, I don't these two are comparable. Any thoughts?
I am not sure why the 2 are being compared. One is a professional degree while the other is a certification. MBA prepares you (in theory) for several different jobs (marketing, finance, ops, general mgmt etc.) while PMP is primarily to "check the box" on program management. With all due respect to the PMPs (and other PM credentials) I havent seen any additional skills that PMP provides.
Yes- I have an MBA and a PM certification and work with several IT PMs/techies but an not in IT myself.

What I can gather from this is that USCIS is going back on its original position of asking the FBI to expedite Name Check cases.

If you have an approved I-140 and the job description matches that of your Labor, you shouldn't have any issues. The job title shouldn't matter either, it's all in the description/role/responsibilities and the technology. If the technology/tool changes then it's an issue because the Labor you have tells that there is a shortage of people in that area.

We just received news that the Judiciary Committee hearings which were supposed to run until 1.00 pm today and also tomorrow have been postponed to March 27th. Apparently the deal is that the Judiciary Committee wants to put pressure on Senator Frist so that he does not introduce his version of the bill bypassing the committee...
Will update as soon as we hear more...

Got the same too. I git frustrated and sent out an e-mail on Friday. Not sure if I should really fill in the form. What a mess at every stage :mad:
I got an automated response from ombudsman saying that I will have to fill out a formal inquiry in the form of 7001. That's the form to fill out if you want ombudsman to inquire into your case.

yesetrday on CNN, AC 360, there were two latino ladies (US Citizens) and they kept saying that this bill is illegal and should be vetoed.
All latinos want other latinos to come to USA and have the numbers/political influence to get them GC's via amnesty before legal immigrants.
None of those ladies said they did not support illegal immigration, they just kept ranting about racial profiling.

I think all depends on how many ROW cases are in the 47000. Especially older PDs, newer PDs most likely will be still in the I-140 queue or I-485 queue to be proceesed.
I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?

Man, I-485 for Texas went back more than a month. It's so bad, they might as well not have published it, one would have slept better at night.
How do they come up with these dates? Weren't they supposed to process I-485 applications in the order they received them?
And how come the California Service Center has been doing so well this past few months, while all the other centers have been stationary or going back. CSC is at January 2007 now, fer cryin' out loud!

well you guys are the kings of jumping ahead of the line using labor substitution...how can any of us be knowledgable on the subject...contact unitednations or ppl like him who "help" the skirters of the law.
svan77: if a person posts on a forum he or she will get the opinions of members whether he/she likes it or not. all of us have our beef with labor substitors and ppl with 3 yr degrees or aptec/niit diplomas who just believe in jumping ahead of the line and have no qualms about it.

Sorry about my ignorance. I had made an incorrect statement confusing 'Other worker' category with EB-3. I deleted that.
Anyways, this date will go back once the backlogs are eliminated. Just like they pulled 'Aug 03' out of their asses this month, they will pull another date in six more months.
Judging by the 1-year leap for RoW, the priority date for ROW should have being moving throughout the year. Maybe the same situation here - they just cannot count, and are going to waste some visas at the year-end.
Anyways, this date will go back once the backlogs are eliminated. Just like they pulled 'Aug 03' out of their asses this month, they will pull another date in six more months.
