Early Sept. I finally got July 2nd filing receipt. I realized that my packet has traveled all the way to CA and then back again at NSC!! then last weekend Sept 15, I got an email notice that my case is back at NSC AFTER I have received a hard copy notice about the transfer...
It's a confusing process and I don't know which center is faster...

Based on my receipt numbers and looking up on USCIS website, it appears my AOS application that was sent to NSC has been sent to California Center. I have not seen anybody's case being sent to CSC. Dunno how good or bad it is and whether it sppeds up/delays my EAD processing. Anybody had experience with CSC and got any of EAD/AP/GC approved from CSC.

I filed for my self, wife and two daughters I-485 and EAD with all documents but without I-140 recipt notice instead I enclosed evidences of the cashed check, INS online status print out and cover letter with reciept number.
My application reached on July 2 at 11:34am. No reciept yet. I called INS and representative explained my case will not be denied. If at all, INS will ask for the reciept notice.
I have my reciept notice for I-140 now.
At this point shall I wait or apply one more today with the reciept notice.

This is what you can do - Both in Mumbai and in Delhi, you have USCIS approved doctors who help people going through CP. In other words those who choose to go through emp based CP or family based Green Card which US embassy issues, go through Indian hospitals in Mumbai and Delhi. I think Gangaram in Mumbai has this facility. Ask your wife to get it done from there. Do not wait till the last moment, as someone pointed out, a slight delay in flight could............

Yeah if the restriction was for non immigrants none of their "special" buddies from gulf states like UAE, Saudi, Kuwait etc would be able to visit.
Many of those " special buddies" would have diplomatic passports, hence no inspection at the POE
But i think you can not practice polygamy or bring multiple spouse to the US on non immigrant visa

I am July 2 filer...
I mailed second set yesterday...
Then I thaught I mailed to Nebraska address then I mailed my third set to Texas center, dont want to take any chance whichever will be accecpted first.
I am smart...;)
It is not late now.
You may send one to California Service center, one to Vermont Service center and the final one to National Support center.
I am sure you will get at least one Receipt number. :D :D

This is the worst bill ever. 1987 amnesty bill atleast had a flawless game plan when it was passed. This one will not pass. If it passes, I am going back to India. At least in India polititions are not brainless, they are only corrupt. I choose to go back to India if this bill passes. I think that the DOS (Dept of State) releases VISA Numbers on a quarterly basis. If that is the case, there should be movement in EB2 India in Jan 2007.
The other possibility always exists that the numbers were released for this quarter but the demand was SO HIGH that the net date did not move at all.

Got my RFE finally. It is for an employment letter. They gave me until 3/19. (RFE was generated on 2/13)

Got my wife's RFE today ( sent to the lawyer who scanned it for us). My wife apparently forgot to sign the medical form before the physician sealed it. We need to go back to the physician have it signed in his presence and have it sealed by him again. Not a big deal I guess.

i know a friend whose wife was in the same boat..
get an attorney and explain ...ur case..
what my friend was told...if you have given proper notice to quit...your employer has no legal standpoint to harras you.
dont worry abt that desi employer..that bum is in bigger soup than you are...the law that requires all employers to provide W2 before jan 31..no matter what..check with IRS if you want....he is toast! .;-)
take it easy.. you will be all right!

Imagine, given the huge retrogression how many countless times we will be refiling our EADs ad APs if we don't act now.
Many people are blissfully enjoying the fruits of labor of some very dedicated IV member who selflessly participated in San Jose rally and flower campaign. These efforts were instrumental in the July visa bulletin reversal. Isn't it time we all stood up for our rights and make a strategic impact through a legislative change rather then just be satisfied with a tactical July visa bulletin reversal win?
I can't talk enough about how vital it is for you to act now. Presidential race will kick in after October/ November time frame. Our window of opportunity is short. Lets help ourselves!

India has PPF/PF and that money will go in you PPF/PF account, its not a black hole, infact it pays the highest interest and its secure. its very easy to get money out of your PF account. i took it out of my PPF account before i came to the US and promptly spent all :)its another topic that SS repatriation will never be approved, especially retroactively.

Now that you have green cards, you may have considered/thought about reentry permits.
Can you get multiple reentry permits i.e one 2 permit followed by a second 1 or 2 year permit?

If case is denied due to USCIS error, MTR can be filed with out fee. when filing MTR it should clearly mention that " Service request for MTR" which implies that denails s due to erroneous decison. (Attorney filed this MTR with Subj: Service request for MTR, enclosed all documents which supports that decision is taken by error and to reconsider).
